Parting Shot
Although he was not perfect, he inspired people with some of the most beautiful words ever spoken. His leadership didn’t end with eloquent words. He led peaceful protests and endured punching, prison, and rocks thrown at his head. Yet he never wavered from his principle of non-violence. His eloquent words, wise leadership, and inspiring example were instrumental in freeing people from injustice. Named after the famed German reformer, the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. lived what he said: “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
