Get HIIT for Youth

A minimal amount of exercise makes a big difference in health. We know that more exercise is better (except at extremes), but even a little helps. Only 20 minutes of additional exercise 4 times a week can have major health benefits and lower our biological age.

Frayed DNA

As we age, our DNA strands fray at the ends, resulting in more copying errors. This DNA damage can be used to measure our biological age, which differs from our birthday age. We can be 50 years old by birth but 40 or 60 biologically. To calculate biological age, our cells are tested for age markers.

Hit the Intervals

HIIT exercise is short for High**-I**ntensity Interval Training. In a HIIT workout, you work out at near-peak capacity for a minute, take a one-minute break, and then go hard for another minute, and so on. There are intervals of high-intensity exercise.

Get in the Zone

In a recent study, 45- to 65-year-olds did 20-minute HIIT workouts, plus a 2-minute cooldown and warm-up. They did running, cycling, rowing, or other activities that raised the heart rate into the peak zone. The peak heart rate zone for a 50-year-old is between 130 and 160.

Gain 4 Years

Doing this HIIT exercise program for just one month after previously doing no exercise resulted in a reversal of aging. Those who did 20 minutes of exercise 4 times a week reduced their biological age by almost 4 years.

Return on Investment

Investing just over 4 hours of exercise a month, they gained almost 4 years of biological age. Invest 4 hours to get 4 years! If we could get that kind of return on investment anywhere else, we would go all in.

Invest for Your Future

A few hours of weekly exercise will yield massive benefits over a lifetime. Go all in with regular exercise. If your doctor approves, get fit with HIIT.
